2015-2016 Calendar Art Contest

Many thanks for encouraging your child to participate in the 2015-2016 YISS Calendar Art Contest!

There were a total of 105 submissions. Of these, 53 pieces were named semi-finalists and 27 pieces were named finalists based on voting by our judges, which consisted of art teachers and elementary, middle, and high school administrators, and parents. The PTO Art Committee will select pieces for the 2015-16 calendar from among our finalists. The pieces selected as finalists will be on display from March 9 to 20 in the main lobby for the YISS community to enjoy.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Framing and setting up the lobby display requires a lot of time if it is done by a single person. We would like to invite the parent of our finalists to come and help frame and display their child’s art work. The set up is scheduled for Thursday, March 5 in Mrs. DeHart’s art room from 9 am to 11am.  Please click HERE if you can come and help. Thank you in advance.

Regardless of whether your child’s work is included in the calendar, your child will receive an award certificate and gift certificate when the artwork is returned to them. We sincerely thank you for sharing your child’s artistic talent with us.

Warmest wishes for the upcoming Spring,

Jina Choi

PTO Art Committee
