Congratulations and THANK YOU to all students who participated in the 2016 Calendar Art Contest.  We had a total of 113 submissions, 39 semi-finalists, and 26 finalists.  

Calendar Art Contest - Guidelines

It’s time to make the 2016-2017 YISS Calendar. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their artwork.
Pick up your paintbrush, markers, pencils, or crayons for a chance to be featured in the YISS calendar.

Contest Guidelines

·      Eligibility: Kindergarten-12th Grade

·      Artwork Format: Artwork must be hand drawn. All coloring materials and styles are accepted in 2-dimensional format. No photographs, computer-generated images or video works will be accepted.

·      Entries should not be smaller than A4 (8.5” x 11”) or larger than A2 (16.5” x 23.4”).

·      Submission Deadline: Submit your artwork by Monday, February 15, 2016, to the Elementary, Middle or High School Office.

Fill out and attach the Calendar Art Contest Submission Form to the BACK of your artwork. Please do NOT write your name or signature on the front.

·      Artwork must be relevant to the theme "Faith, Hope & Love"

·      Parents and adults may guide children but may not participate directly in the artwork.

·      Each participant can submit a maximum of two art pieces.

·      A panel of judges consisting of administrators, staff, and ES, MS, HS art teachers will select the finalists and semifinalists.

·      Artwork will be returned after the contest is over. Winning pieces will be reproduced in the 2016-2017 YISS Calendar. All contestants will be given a participation prize.
