2018-2019 Calendar Art Contest

Calendar Art Contest: Guidelines

YISS students are invited to submit their original artwork to the Calendar Art Contest. The winning pieces will be published in the 2019-2020 YISS Calendar. All contestants will receive a participation certificate.

Theme: “Creative World of YISS” – Express how you see creativity around you!

  • Contestants: Kindergarten-12th Grade

  • Artwork Format: Artwork may be hand drawn or digitally created (jpg, 300 dpi – submit print for preliminary review) in 2D or 3D (submit photograph of sculpture for preliminary review).

  • Dimensions: Entries should not be smaller than A4 (8.5” x 11”) or larger than A2 (16.5” x 23.4”).

  • Every contestant must fill out and attach the Calendar Art Contest Submission Form to the back of your artwork. Please do NOT write your name or signature on the front of your artwork.

  • General Submission Deadline: Submit your artwork by Friday, February 22 to the Elementary, Middle or High School Office.

  • Art Faculty Deadline: MS/HS art faculty will submit selected student artwork in May 2018.

  • Artwork must be original and relevant to the theme “Exploring.”

  • Parents and adults may guide students but may not participate directly in the artwork.

  • Each participant can submit a maximum of two art pieces.

  • A panel of judges consisting of administrators, staff, and ES, MS, HS art faculty will select the semi-finalists and finalists.

  • Artwork will be returned after the contest is over.
