Welcome to the YISS 2019 Elementary School Read-A-Thon. Read-A-Thon is our annual celebration of reading organized as a joint effort between the PTO and ES administrators at YISS. Our goal is to develop a lifelong love of learning and promote the enjoyment of reading through a variety of fun and educational activities. The theme this year is "YISS Detective Agency: The Case of the Book Bandit." Read-A-Thon will begin on Monday, February 18 and will end on Sunday, March 10.

| We want to encourage our children to read joyfully. All of the events during this year's Read-A-Thon circle around the theme and prizes are awarded to all participants. We want to encourage students to grow as readers in as many ways as we can. We will continue to carry on some of our RAT traditions and enjoy some new ones as well! And if the elementary school students can collectively read a total of 772,019 minutes, Mr. Marshall, Ms. Falkner and Mr. Benedict have agreed to a pie throw at the Wrap-Up Assembly!
